Torch-worked 'soft' glass,
shaped by fire into wearable art.

Annie McCabe creates unique glass jewellery using a high-temperature oxygen-propane flame. By melting solid glass rods, she transforms raw materials into intricate, molten forms with exceptional precision and care.
Her techniques draw on 16th-century Venetian lampworking traditions. Using premium glass from Italy and Germany, she winds and blows molten glass on steel tubes to create detailed, contemporary beads and sculptures.
Every piece is kiln-annealed for maximum strength and durability. This professional finishing process ensures that her delicate designs are resilient enough for everyday wear and will last for years to come.

Annie McCabe is a Brighton-based artist with over fifteen years of specialist experience. A Brighton University design graduate and qualified teacher, she brings technical rigour and artistic passion to every piece.
Working from her dedicated garden studio, Annie explores both bead-making and architectural glass. Her practice often incorporates medieval stained glass techniques and 3D copperfoil vignettes to create evocative, atmospheric art.
Her work is deeply inspired by the textures and shifting colours of the Sussex coastline. From bespoke commissions to gallery collections, Annie’s designs celebrate the natural world through the unique medium of glass.
